Bendigo Telco started back in 2000, servicing local companies and residents of the Bendigo area. Now it extends far beyond that, selling NBN plans to wider Australia.

Bendigo's plans really don't provide a lot of value, considering that they don't even provide unlimited data. Typical evening speeds are below average for both its NBN50 plan (Mbps vs. the ACCC averages of 50.1Mbps) and you'll get hit with a relatively hefty set-up fee for the modem.

That said, Bendigo Telco continues to support businesses in Bendigo, so if you like its local community support that might help sway you towards it.

Do I need a new modem to sign up to Bendigo Telco?

A new modem isn't optional with Bendigo Telco's NBN plans. You'll either have to pay $170 for one as part of the set-up fee or sign onto a 12-month contract to have it included.

Can I cancel my Bendigo Telco NBN plan?

So long as you aren't on a long-term contract, you can cancel your plan at any time without consequences. If you want to leave one of its contracts early, you'll have to pay a termination fee up to a maximum of $220 that depends on what contract you're on and how long is left until it expires.

Can I get calls with Bendigo Telco's Internet plans?

You can add on a home phone line with unlimited local, national and Australian mobile calls for an extra $10 per month on top of your plan fees.
